IT GOVERNANCE CONCERN GROWS...

A recent survey of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) highlighted their ten main IT concerns.  IT Governance entered the list for the first time with a bullet at number 4.  It shot right past other concerns such as Privacy Management, Digital Authentication and WIreless Technologies. Top of the list not surprisingly, for the past 4 years, was Information Security followed closely by Assurance and Compliance Applications and  Disaster and Business Continuity Planning.

A good IT management framework means good processes are in place thus avoiding the "re-inventing the wheel" syndrome which helps reduce risks and errors and improve quality.  This can only increase the trust and confidence that senior management has in their IT function. It's a win-win for all concerned...
